Does Mo Have What It Takes To Win?

Sir Mo Farah has landed in Wales as part of this year's I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here cast, alongside Vernon Kay, Shane Ritchie and fellow athlete Holly Arnold MBE. The question: do his Olympic instincts translate to castle trials?

In his favour: a four-time Olympic gold medallist has extraordinary physical resilience and mental fortitude, built by a training regimen that demands persistence bordering on obsession. His first trial brought back nine stars out of twelve — and his competitive streak means he'll be chasing the full set next time.

Against him: Mo has openly struggled with cold, wet conditions before, in Edinburgh and Dublin, and prefers the treadmill to outdoor training in winter — a damp Welsh castle could be tougher on him mentally than physically. Extended time away from his twice-daily training routine and his carefully managed diet, this close to Tokyo, is a real risk.

Still, Olympians tend to have determination most of us don't, and a bit of enforced rest in the castle might do him more good than harm.
